Experienced

≈ 16 hSuggested range13 h – 20 h

Based on one person building the set for the first time, following the original instructions and using numbered bags where supplied. This range is neither a statistical interval nor a limit: your build may take less or more time.

How we estimate times · sources and method

Many small elements, clips, bars and repeated alignments call for patience. Experienced builders may move faster through repeated sections. The total below is our sum of the reported stages, not community data.

Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

BEYOND THE BRICKS

The model, the history, the ideas

Inside the set

01

A record at launch

In November 2022, LEGO introduced this 149 cm Eiffel tower as its tallest set. That record refers to its launch, not to a current ranking.

02

Engineering comes first

Designer Rok Žgalin Kobe followed the real tower’s structural principles as closely as possible. The model separates into four sections and even includes an office at the top.

The stories, places and inventions behind your build.

03

It was only meant to last twenty years

The tower opened for the 1889 Paris World’s Fair. Gustave Eiffel’s original concession lasted twenty years, so its survival beyond that period was far from guaranteed.

04

Radio helped save the tower

The tower found a vital purpose as an antenna for wireless telegraphy. In November 1898, Eugène Ducretet established a Morse connection between the tower and the Panthéon, about four kilometres away.

SET THE MOOD

A soundtrack for your build

Eiffel tower · Selected for the building rhythm

For a project spread over several sessions we choose a relaxed ambient backdrop rather than matching the set’s name. The piano alternative adds a more distinct melodic presence.

Try a different atmosphere

A build to spread over several sessions: choose the more understated option when you want the instructions to take centre stage. The music does not set your pace.
