This range is neither a statistical interval nor a limit: your build may take less or more time.

How we estimate times · sources and method

Numerous furnished rooms, a vertical structure and hidden functions require several sessions and connection checks. The three central durations are model-specific editorial assessments. Planning ranges extend approximately from 65% to 145%, rounded to quarter-hours; they are not measured experience-level averages or guaranteed limits.

Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

An apparently abandoned red telephone box conceals Ministry access. Dialling 62442 spells MAGIC on an alphanumeric keypad. Ordinary street furniture becomes a threshold through knowledge of a code, connecting everyday London with magical government without announcing the building’s purpose to every passer-by.

04

A government beneath London

The London headquarters houses departments for magical transport and Mysteries, as well as judicial functions.

The Ministry contains Magical Law Enforcement, Mysteries and Magical Transportation. Harry’s expulsion hearing and Dumbledore’s duel with Voldemort also occur there. Routine administration and major confrontations share the same institution, connecting everyday organisation of magical life with decisive moments in the story.

SET THE MOOD

A soundtrack for your build

· Selected for the subject and atmosphere

Harry Potter’s orchestra suggests wonder and small mysteries. It follows a magical setting, with less narrative alternatives when you prefer to focus on detail.

OUR PICK

Secrets of the Castle

John Williams · Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture)

Narrative and cinematic

A build to spread over several sessions: choose the more understated option when you want the instructions to take centre stage. The music does not set your pace.
