≈ 2 hSuggested range1 h 15 min – 3 hBased on one person building the set for the first time, following the original instructions and using numbered bags where supplied. Includes normal piece-finding and minor adjustments; excludes long breaks, filming, dismantling and modifications. Sources may use different methods. This range is neither a statistical interval nor a limit: your build may take less or more time.
How we estimate times · sources and method
A folding case and creatures with different bodies, wings and joints. A complete first build by one person. Older sets may use unnumbered bags, so finding pieces can take longer. The broad ranges are editorial assessments, not measured averages or guaranteed limits.
Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

Newt Scamander travels in the early twentieth century researching magical creatures for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, carrying them in an enchanted suitcase. His journeys become more than academic during the 1920s, when he works with Dumbledore against Grindelwald’s rise.
A Hogwarts house
Before his explorations, Newt belonged to Hufflepuff at Hogwarts.

The official encyclopedia identifies Newt’s Hogwarts house as Hufflepuff and Dumbledore as his former teacher and friend. Their connection moves beyond schooling into collaboration outside the castle, where his knowledge of creatures meets events in the adult wizarding world.
