How we estimate times · sources and method
A broad hull, interiors, panels and large engines with substantial repetition. The three central durations are model-specific editorial assessments. Planning ranges extend approximately from 65% to 145%, rounded to quarter-hours; they are not measured experience-level averages or guaranteed limits.
Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

A life before the Mandalorian
The Razor Crest was a military craft used to patrol local territories before the Empire.
Previously a military patrol craft before the Empire, the Razor Crest’s known role differs from its original purpose. Reuse connects eras: an existing machine becomes a traveller’s workplace and home, carrying a history older than the occupants most familiar to the audience.
A home as well as transport
For Din Djarin and young Grogu, the ship also provided living space between planets.
The Razor Crest provides living quarters as well as transport for the Mandalorian and Child. Interiors join daily life with work, supporting a relationship formed during travel. Its significance therefore extends beyond weapons and performance to the space the characters share as home.

A soundtrack for your build
· Selected for the subject and atmosphere
Apollo’s ambient sound suggests distance and exploration. It keeps the build in the foreground, with less urgency than a cinematic march.
OUR PICK
Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks (Extended Edition)
Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois & Roger Eno
Intimate and spaciousA build to spread over several sessions: choose the more understated option when you want the instructions to take centre stage. The music does not set your pace.
