This range is neither a statistical interval nor a limit: your build may take less or more time.

How we estimate times · sources and method

Editorial assessment: A desert skiff and the Sarlacc’s mouth create a Tatooine scene, with two small builds of very different shapes. Brown and tan visually connect the two builds. A first build following the instructions, including normal piece finding; an adult may help when needed. Breaks and subsequent play are excluded. For older sets, unnumbered bags or previously mixed pieces may prolong sorting. No verified timed build: indicative values with substantial variation.

Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

Checked: 26 October 2026 · Method v1.0 · Limited reports; not a statistical average.

Mostly hidden

The mouth is only part.

Carkoon’s Sarlacc remains buried except for its huge mouth and beaked tongue. The visible threat is only part of the creature. The Databank places it on Tatooine, making the surrounding sand an integral part of encountering the beast.

04

The Pit of Carkoon

The pit serves Jabba.

Jabba forces prisoners towards the Sarlacc’s tentacled mouth for cruel entertainment. Its lair becomes an instrument of criminal power as well as a creature’s habitat. Return of the Jedi connects natural danger with deliberate cruelty.
