Based on one person building the set for the first time, following the original instructions and using numbered bags where supplied. Includes normal piece-finding and minor adjustments; excludes long breaks, filming, dismantling and modifications. Sources may use different methods. This range is neither a statistical interval nor a limit: your build may take less or more time.

How we estimate times · sources and method

Editorial assessment: A blue sports car with a driver and large rear wing. A raised element completes the back of the car. A first build following the instructions, including normal piece finding; an adult may help when needed. Breaks, subsequent play and any alternative models are excluded. For older sets, unnumbered bags or previously mixed pieces may prolong sorting. No verified timed build: indicative values with substantial variation.

Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

Checked: 26 October 2026 · Method v1.0 · Limited reports; not a statistical average.

Three colours explain the strategy

In Pirelli’s announced 2026 F1 range, white, yellow and red identify Hard, Medium and Soft respectively. The colours distinguish each compound’s role during a race weekend.

The 2026 P Zero range contains compounds C1 to C5, while the familiar colours identify Hard, Medium and Soft during a Grand Prix. Pirelli redesigned the sidewall graphics with a chequered-flag motif but retained this colour code for following race choices.

Two colours for rain

Green and blue distinguish Intermediate and Full Wet tyres. A pit-stop tyre change can respond to water on the circuit as well as wear and race strategy.

The 2026 presentation retains green for Intermediate and blue for Full Wet. It also distinguishes the unchanged eighteen-inch rim from smaller tyre dimensions for the new cars. Colour communicates tyre use, while dimensions reflect another part of the car’s technical design.

SET THE MOOD

A soundtrack for your build

· Selected for the subject and atmosphere

Penguin Cafe’s acoustic interlocks offer movement and returning patterns for a vehicle build. This light rhythmic choice follows the pleasure of assembling shapes and mechanisms without setting a pace for your hands.
