How we estimate times · sources and method

Three homes, shops and community space with furniture and small functions. The three central durations are model-specific editorial assessments. Planning ranges extend approximately from 65% to 145%, rounded to quarter-hours; they are not measured experience-level averages or guaranteed limits.

Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

Dimensioni: set di 2.040 pezzi con un modello principale che misura 31 cm di altezza, 39 cm di larghezza e 14 cm di profondità

Approximate assembled-model measurements, not packaging dimensions. Allow extra room for handling, moving parts and the display stand. The comparison uses the measured model’s overall footprint, allows a 90° rotation and does not assess stability or shelf load. Source LEGO ↗ · 2026-10-29

Beyond the set

The stories, places and inventions behind your build.

03

Shops below, everyday life above

Two surviving Tudor merchants’ houses in Gloucester had ground-floor shops with domestic or working rooms above. Their historic facades concealed mixed uses, much like many neighbourhoods today.

The sixteenth-century merchants’ houses had ground-floor shops with domestic and workshop space above. Later pin manufacturing and subsequent conversion changed their use again. A historic facade can contain successive occupations, beyond the picturesque idea of one shop beneath one home.

04

Timber framing was structural

In historic timber-framed houses, the beams formed the supporting frame rather than applied decoration. Gloucester also preserves infill made from laths, clay and straw between the timbers.

Historic England records timber framing, infill and surviving beams at Westgate Street. The visible grid was more than applied decoration. Joints, infill and later alterations reveal both the construction system and changing use across the buildings’ material history.

SET THE MOOD

A soundtrack for your build

· Selected for the subject and atmosphere

The Secret Life of Pets offers a comic character for small figures and everyday scenes. The affinity is lively domestic storytelling, not nature in general.

OUR PICK

The Secret Life of Pets (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Alexandre Desplat

Rhythmic and lively

A build to spread over several sessions: choose the more understated option when you want the instructions to take centre stage. The music does not set your pace.
