Mooshrooms inhabit rare mushroom-field islands. Lightning changes a red individual to brown, while two red parents can also rarely produce brown offspring. Colour can record environmental events or uncommon variation, rather than merely decorating a cow-like character.

A bucket collects milk; a bowl collects mushroom stew. Brown mooshrooms fed flowers can also produce suspicious stew with particular effects.
