How we estimate times · sources and method

Editorial assessment: A little Quidditch practice scene with a tower, hoops and characters in a short-building historical box. Coloured sections evoke the Hogwarts sporting setting. A first build following the instructions, including normal piece finding; an adult may help when needed. Breaks, subsequent play and any alternative models are excluded. For older sets, unnumbered bags or previously mixed pieces may prolong sorting. No verified timed build: indicative values with substantial variation.

Sources do not always specify the builder’s experience. The three experience bands are our editorial assessment, based on the complexity of the set and individual accounts where available.

Seven players

Each team fields three Chasers, two Beaters, a Keeper and a Seeker.

Three Chasers, two Beaters, a Keeper and a Seeker share each team. Quaffle goals, Bludger control, defence and the Snitch pursuit occur together, making a match several parallel objectives rather than one ball chase.

The Snitch does not guarantee victory

It scores 150 points and ends the match, but the other team can win with a sufficient existing lead.

A Snitch catch ends play and adds 150 points, but cannot overcome a larger opposing lead. Goals scored earlier can determine victory, placing the Seeker’s spectacular individual action within the team’s collective score.
