HOWLONGTOBUILD · BUILDING GUIDES
Which LEGO set can you build in an afternoon?
For this guide, an afternoon means roughly four hours of active building, excluding breaks. It is a planning budget: the same model may take one person an afternoon and another several sessions.

Check your experience level first
The suggestions below show current central estimates for each experience level. Check the range on the set page too: if its upper end exceeds your free time, be prepared to continue another day.
Three ideas with different rhythms
London is a compact skyline; Orchid combines a pot, stems and flowers; Tales of the Space Age contains four scenes. Choose a subject that interests you and compare its estimate for your experience, without treating the central figure as a promise.
When an afternoon is not enough
Save your instruction page and active time in your personal space. You do not have to finish the model to enjoy the session. Starting a section of Titanic or Saturn V can also be rewarding, but it is not the same as completing the entire set.
Find other options
The set finder combines available time, experience, theme and age. Suggested durations remain editorial estimates unless approved user submissions exist. They help you plan, rather than setting a pace you need to meet.
